At First Baptist Church, the Core Value of Biblical Foundation states that “we teach and learn God’s Word, and we choose to make all decisions based on its guidance, strength, and truth.” As such, the Adult Division of our Bible/Study Sunday School program has a concentrated focus on not only the teaching of His Word, but also on how believers can take those words and apply them directly to their daily living. We not only want to be a people who know the Word, we also want to be a people who are equipped by that knowledge to do God’s Word.
But, these classes are not only educationally strong they are also the points of entry into the life of our congregation for many of our adults. Building a strong sense of community and fellowship within each class remains at the heart of each class’ mission. Creating a sense of welcome and allowing points of ministry and assimilation to class members is a prime focus for our adults.
Each of the classes at First Baptist is open to welcoming you as a guest. You will be greeted warmly! We encourage our guests to visit several Sunday School classes before they make the final decision to unite with one class. Many single individuals attend this class as well (these are individuals who may have a spouse in another gender based class, or who might teach in another area of the Sunday School program, or may be widows or widowers).
